Augmented Reality
Augmented Reality means overlaying reality with virtual objects where the real and the virtual world merge to one reality. This enables disruptive applications in industrial use cases. E.g., visual checks can be supported by displaying inspection characteristics at the geometrically correct position in reality. Within oculavis SHARE, this technology enables realtime tracking of annotations as well as clipping out faces in videochats for data privacy reasons.
IoT interfaces: Connecting products, machines & equipment
Not only do we master software development for mobile devices - we also understand your core processes, machines and assembly procedures. On our shopfloor at Fraunhofer IPT we have access to more than 50 different machines and controls - 5-axis-machines and robots up to special purpose machines. With this background wee can test and integrate our applications directly with state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment. 2D Codes
Two-dimensional codes like QR or barcoes are common interfaces to job data, part information or storage positions. Smart glasses with their integrated cameras offer an easy way to scan such codes and to afterwards display context relevant information directly on the smart glasses' display. Reading device and human machine interface become one unit.
Bluetooth enables smart glasses to pair with other wearables. That opens up easy ways for data input by pairinng smart glasses with watches or ring scanners. Conntecting smart glasses with bluetooth low energy sensors enables localization and even indoor positioning.
The Industry 4.0 communication standard of the future. OPC-UA client-server-structures enable smart communication between wearables and your products or machines via secure and well defined data structures. Connecting smart glasses or tablets with machines via OPC-UA is paving the way for decentral production control and remote service.
The emerging standard in automation provides well defined data structures similar to OPC-UA. It organizes data in xml formats and provides the basis for plug & play solutions as demanded by Industry 4.0.
One of the main goals of digital processes is avoiding redundant data. Master data like product numbers, unique type references or supplier number should be synchronized in all software systems deployed. Changes need to be available immediately in all systems. Nowadays, a lot of interfaces to IT systems still need to be defined manually. We support you in taking the right way and to select the right standards. SAP, Oracle or Navision - we can connect to any system that gives access to its data.
